Waves - Tiffany Loraine

do not look at me with lying eyes

saying to be loved is to be seen

when I have wasted into something

so unfortunately foreseen

do not whisper in my ear

some profound revelation

of how your thirsty soul has searched for me

in fields of arid desolation

do not touch me with your calloused hands

and forget a hardened heart

symbolic of your ethic

while your morals fell apart

do not cry when you remember me

and the chances I provided

to become an honest person

whom was cherished but divided

keep me at a distance

to preserve a life of lies

wear the cloak and falsehood

that I’ve grown to despise

your castle may be sturdy

yet it’s made of grainy sand

so be careful of the crashing waves

you so fragilely withstand

Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Tiffany. I am a passionate writer and animal lover based in Southern California. As an avid nature writer, I draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and the poetry of greats like Robert Frost, Mary Oliver, William B. Yeats, and Emily Dickinson, to name a few. With a BA in English and creative writing, I channel my love for literature into my writing, using nature as my muse. I foster a deep appreciation for both animals and the environment in my professional, personal, and creative endeavors.

As the founder and president of Cleo’s Kittens Inc., I devote my free time to rescuing and rehabilitating cats in need. I share my life with my husband, two playful dogs, and eleven affectionate cats, all of whom inspire my work in their own special way.
